After three years of co-creating new narratives we have decided to give ourselves some time to tune into the practice and sense where it wants to go. Naked Movement has always felt like a bridge; a step towards self-love, a contribution towards a world in which we can embrace ourselves fully and love every single bit of us. I'm deeply grateful, inspired and touched by everyone's generous presence, openness and trust in the practice. We've seen our community grow and have had the chance to meet the Portuguese Naked Movers as well as all the incredibly diverse explorers at the different events we've been part of.
In practical terms our London regular sessions will be put on hold from March. Our last gathering will take place in February where we'll have a chance to celebrate Naked Movement's 3rd birthday. Private sessions (with individuals, couples and other relationship dynamics) will continue to take place as usual. We will still facilitate journeys at workshops and festivals. You are welcome to suggest collaborations (we love these) and any links to affordable and accessible venues in London. Naked Movement is a journey through presence, movement, naked exploration, breath and connection; a space to uncover and discover ourselves (nudity is welcome but not mandatory).
Since its beginning in early 2015 Naked Movement has branched out into three independent practices and has been present in several countries with on-going monthly sessions in both Portugal and the UK. We are a body positive, consent based, all gender friendly space. Naked movement agreements - Respect for your body, the space and others. - This is a body positive space. - Honouring who and where you are on your path comes first. Directions are optional. - Full nudity is not mandatory. - Naked movement is a strictly non-sexual experience. Whole-hearted exchanges are most welcome. What to bring - An open heart - Comfortable clothing for the start of the session - A towel, shawl or piece of material to lie on the floor at points - Water (we love recycled bottles) - A sparking curiosity How to book Contact Calu on [email protected]. If you are joining us for the first time please share information about your journey with movement and nudity. Further details will be sent upon registration. Tickets are non-refundable or transferable. We are visioning a less binary space (in terms of gender) where beings from different walks of life, orientations (including straight / cis), abilities and experience feel welcomed. We are aware it’s an on-going journey and invite participants to be part of shifting perception and widening perspective when it comes to identity. We are also in the search for a more accessible venue (which is also affordable) so feel free to share with us your ideas, contacts and suggestions. If you're new to this practice, please read all the extra information on the right hand side before contacting us. * Each participant, based on their current financial circumstances, chooses how much they are able to contribute. We trust people are being honest; it has worked so far. |
About Naked Movement - a bit of "herstory"
Naked movement was inspired by life and created by Calu, out of integrating two of her passions: movement and nudity. Both explorations allowed her to be more present and celebrate her body in multiple creative ways. More> About Calu Calu creates and facilitates powerful spaces for connection playing with intuitive touch, free movement, sensorial exploration, emotional release and a lot of creative expression. More> Frequently Asked Questions here including a published account from a journalist who visited us. Everyone's welcome including agender, genderqueer, gender fluid, fairies, unicorns, intersex and non-binary beings. To create a safe and supportive space for everyone, participants will have to register in advance; there will be no tickets available at the door. Due to the nature of this practice spaces are limited and doors will close 15 minutes after the start of the session without exception. Thanks for planning your journey in advance and respecting our space. Join our mailing list contacting Calu on [email protected]. |
